The Red Cross is a humanitarian organization whose work is driven by a desire to help others. It is committed to, and bound by, the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and acts as the guardian of the Geneva Conventions.

We cooperated with Norwegian Red Cross organization to create a platform for
Community-based surveillance program (CBS) which is the systematic detection and reporting of events of public health significance within a community by community members. It allowed for early discovery of the first coronavirus case in Somaliland.

There was a growing need for using CBS in order to prevent the outbreaks around the world, but existing tools used by Norwegian Red Cross weren’t enough in terms of user experience, scalability and expandability. To answer that need, we created a new platform from scratch, using the most recent and solid technologies that can meet the organization’s expectations and be used world-wide by Red Cross volunteers.
