Farmasiet is Norway’s largest online pharmacy selling prescription products across the whole country.
Our client needed an online pharmacy store where customers could buy prescription products online, integrated with the new Norwegian government system. The pharmacy won in the 2019 Prisjakt competition for best online pharmacy store.
The online pharmacy had to build a store integrated with the new state system to be able to sell prescription medicines online. The new system had to meet strict security requirements to be able to handle confidential user data. It also had to be user-friendly to stand out on the market of online pharmacies in Norway, with great customer experience. Considering the nature of pharmaceuticals, it had to allow for different delivery methods, too.
We used ASP.NET MVC/WebApi, .NET Core, Knockout.js, MS SQL, Azure DevOps and Octopus as CI/CD platform, Dapper, Identity Server as well as MS Azure Application Insights
