E-commerce store
for Komplett Group
The Komplett Group is one of the largest e-commerce sellers in the Nordic countries with eight online stores focused on computers and components. The Komplett Group’s stores sell to end-users, businesses, public enterprises, and resellers, with 1.600.000 active customers.
For the purposes of this project, we were asked to participate in the creation, maintenance, and extension of the online stores for the Komplett Group, along with Komplett’s in-house developers in Oslo and Sandefjord. We also delivered business tools for the client’s internal teams.
The ecommerce environment is changing dynamically, and businesses need cutting edge tools to compete. Today, creating large online stores requires much more than using an out-of-the-box store engine. Fabres developers worked on new solutions and features to help Komplett stand out from the competition, offering an excellent customer experience at the online stores – their exclusive distribution channel. The stores also needed to integrate with Komplett’s internal logistics system and be able to withstand huge peaks in traffic during popular sales holidays.
Thanks to several years of experience with a proven distributed delivery model the Fabres team seamlessly integrates with Kompletts development team. Together we build and maintain Kompletts webshop platform. Payment method integrations, Checkout, shopping cart and discount system are some recent functionalities successfully designed and developed mainly by Fabres developers. A recently introduced microservices architecture hosted in Azure makes Kompletts environment scalable and robust. The majority of the developer team is Fabres developers and we consider them an integrated part of the developer team here at Komplett, they are “Kompletters”! This approach pays out in faster delivery pace, less rework, more trust and overall better code quality
